Meet Dr. Xuan “Sue Ann” To

Ultimate Dental Care is owned and operated by Dr. Xuan “Sue Ann” To. She finds her greatest joy and satisfaction in serving the citizens of Plano and the surrounding area.

Dr. To improves her skills by actively participating in educational courses involving all aspects of dentistry to learn new and better ways to meet the dental needs of her patients. Her most recent continuing education topics were implants and orthodontics.

Dr. To was first introduced to the profession of dentistry by her uncle when she worked as his dental assistant during college. She graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1996 where she served her residency through 1997 and practiced at Dental Works in Brookfield, Wisconsin. She moved to Plano, Texas to open her independent practice and embraced the community and its residents as her friends and neighbors.

She loves spending time with her husband, Leo, and their two sons, enjoying the many aspects of the cultural and entertainment opportunities available in the DFW metroplex. Dr. To also loves reading and cooking.

Meet Dr. Nhung Dang

Dr. Dang earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Sciences from the University of Texas at Dallas and obtained a minor in Neuroscience. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine where she trained in the periodontology honor program.

Dr. Dang is a recipient of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society award. Dr. Dang has been providing quality dental care as part of the Ultimate Dental Care team since 2019 and has continued refining her skills in orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry.

When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Dang enjoys traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Dang is fluent in both English and Vietnamese.

Treatment Planning

Once a patient is seen by the dentist for a comprehensive exam and x-rays, the dentist then has the visual knowledge of the condition of a patient’s teeth and mouth. The dentist then can diagnose any problems found and develop a treatment plan to recommend to the patient, by which they can help the patient achieve good dental health.

The treatment plan should include an itemized list of dental procedures recommended and their cost. If the patient has insurance, the costs for treatment are broken down to show how much is anticipated to be paid by their insurance company, less any deductible, and the patient’s portion (percentage/co-pay) of the proposed treatment. When a patient has this information, they are better able to budget these costs and schedule appointments accordingly. It is usually best to address the worst problems first. If the costs of all of the dental treatment exceeds the patient’s allowable insurance maximums for the year, then the patient can consider what other options are available to complete their treatment.
